In 1999 the 40.000 hectare area around the highest mountain in the region of Malaga La Maroma was declared as one of Spain’s nature parks and Sedella has been chosen as the mail tourist office head office (under establishing).
The park makes a natural boundary between the Malaga region and the Granada region. On the Malaga side the villages Canillas de Aceituno, Canilla de Albeida, Cómpeta, Frigiliana, Nerja, Salares and Sedella are adjacent to the nature park.
There are many different species of animals like ibexes, squirrels, vultures, owls and there is an abundant range of birds.
The vegetation varies according to the time of year and beautiful no matter when you visit.

A lovely water park for both the very small children and the very big! It is situated between Velez-Malaga and Torre del Mar, right in front of the big shopping centre El Ingenio next to the exit 272. There are a couple of restaurants, but you can also bring your own food and drinks (there is a cool bag in Casa Karina).
